Introduction
Key Takeaways
With three decades of experience leading finance operations for both high-growth and Fortune 100 companies, new Apptega CFO Brett Bowman knows what it takes to scale a rapidly expanding business.
In one word: focus.
Are we clear on our priorities? Are we allocating resources properly? Bowman is tasked with maintaining the kind of focus needed to make Apptega the premier provider of continuous compliance solutions to the managed security space.
“We have an incredible opportunity to build software that empowers managed security and service providers to go to market with highly differentiated continuous compliance solutions so that, ultimately, they can grow recurring revenue, margins, and customer retention,” said Bowman, who also serves as advisory board member and Austin chapter chair for the CFO Leadership Council. “I’m excited to work alongside our product and go-to-market teams to make sure our people, capital, and resources are pointed toward executing that mission as efficiently and quickly as possible.”
A skilled business enabler and operator, Bowman’s 30-year career includes highly successful tenures at enterprise technology businesses such as Dell as well as high-growth startups Woot and Main Street Hub. He also previously served as CFO of Securonix — a leader in SIEM, UEBA, security analytics and detection for the Global 2000 and service providers that was acquired by a large software-focused private equity firm in 2022.
Bowman’s hiring is part of a recent string of additions to the Apptega leadership team, as the company has focused on deepening its roots in cybersecurity and managed services. In the last six months, we've announced our new CTO John Eastman, chief product officer Rahul Bakshi, CISO Wyman Lewis, and chief people officer Dilshan Ratnayake.
Together, our team of experienced executives is helping unlock the potential of our high-growth organization and ensure continued success.
