Monthly Release Notes for April

Looking to learn about Apptega’s latest and greatest product updates? Well, you’re in the right place. Here’s what's new.

Glammed-up Assessment Reports

Our Assessment PowerPoint Reports had a full glow-up, transforming them from relatively unexceptional to stunning beauties! The previous reports suffered from a lack of depth, data, and visual appeal, limiting their usefulness in effectively presenting assessment results.

So we gave them a makeover. We introduced visually captivating guides, charts, and graphs to present data in a more engaging and aesthetically pleasing way. Not only do they look better, but they contain more valuable insights, notes, and recommendations to ensure a comprehensive report. Users can also generate presentation-ready Assessment PowerPoint Reports with a single click.

Auto-Populated Active Users for Assessment Manager

In Assessment Manager, users encountered two significant issues. First, the dropdown for assigning tasks to active users failed to display the list of names. Secondly, the risk dropdown did not load, preventing users from accessing their risk register and resulting in no populated risks.

But worry not! We enhanced the functionality and user experience so that users can easily assign assessment tasks to active users – supporting our “No Task Left Behind” initiative. Additionally, the risk dropdown now loads the user's risk register for efficient searching and population of risks.

Chronological Controls for SSPs

While running assessments and generating an SSP (System Security Plan), the controls would often display out of order. It was comparable to watching Netflix's "Kaleidoscope" – you never know what order things would show up in.

To solve this, we updated the system to ensure that all controls now display in chronological order. This improvement provides enhanced organization, clearer information displays, and eliminates any lingering confusion.

Hours Field for Audit Request Cards

Have you ever experienced such intense focus on your work that time seems to slip away? It's exciting when you're working on a big project, but not so much when you're preparing for an audit. Previously in our Audit Manager, users couldn’t track the time spent on individual requests or the overall hours invested in completing an audit because there was no "Hours" field in audit request cards. On top of that, locating specific requests was virtually impossible.

To address these issues, we’ve introduced an "hours" field to audit request cards to track time spent and implemented a solution that enables users to easily search for audit requests within the Kanban board using the Request ID. Now, you can achieve a state of flow while maintaining a clear understanding of your audit progress with enhanced functionality and improved tracking capabilities.
